a friend once told me that southern women need at least one rooster in their kitchen. well, the other night, beth and i were talking about it and she had never heard this. she tweeted it to see if any of her friends had ever heard of it. many said that they had. i called my mom to see if she knew where i was coming up with this. she hadn't heard of it.
so anyway....have any of you heard of having a rooster in your kitchen? i pulled pictures off of the internet and am not sure of which sites they were on....
oh - i did find this online several times... "rule the roost, but pamper the rooster".... but i haven't been able to find the reasoning behind this...

i also have a small watercolor rooster that i LOVE, but i don't have a picture of it on my computer! maybe that's my cue to get it framed, hang it, and take a picture =)
