some pictures from the 4th of july...

wow. a month later i'm finally posting pictures from the 4th of july....i'm sorry!

i found this recipe in delta magazine and decided i had to make it. it was so good! i may have to make another one of these soon....

we actually started the weekend out with fireworks in ridgeland with friends from church. this is the only picture that i have from that night - mary peyton with 2 of the 3 sweet boys that she says she will pick from to marry...oh boy...

we went to church and had our patriotic celebration which ALWAYS chokes me up.

mary peyton had her picture made with all of our military representatives. the two directly beside her are brother and sister - he is a marine and she is in the air force. they are such precious people!

i love this picture of mary peyton! the dress kind of looks orange-ish, but i promise it's red and white gingham. this was one of my dresses when i was little! i LOVE when she wears my clothes!

after church, we went to eat with a group of friends. i love our sunday lunches....

THEN, we came home for just a little bit, changed clothes, and headed to the mbraves game with julz and mark.

this was such a bittersweet time because julia and mark had been home since the end of may and were leaving july 8th. it was our last time to be with them just hanging out...

but we had a great time and the mbraves won! and the fireworks at the end were incredible!
