ok.....it's bad when you aren't sure if you have put something on the blog or not.....i know that i've put these on facebook, but i don't know about the blog! eeekkk!!!
and - to be quite honest - i don't want to go back through and look and see if they are on here. SO....just bear with me if you've seen these.
when tommy's grandfather passed away in march, i went up to madden with my sweet mother-in-law, linda, and found this picture of her when she was close to mary peyton's age.
i looked at the name of the photographer and tried to remember if it was the same one who had done a picture of my mother that i had. i knew that the pictures were the same size and were very similar in style, but with my mom being from itta bena and his mom being from madden, i just couldn't imagine that back around 1952 their pictures would have been done by the same man from philadelphia.
here is the one of my mom.
sure enough, they were. i took them to neblett's to get framed and am so proud of the way they turned out! they now hang in my dining room on one side of my china cabinet. a portrait of mary peyton is on the other side and - complete coincidence - is in the same style frame as the ones i chose for the grandmothers' pictures!
i love that they are so similar and that mary peyton will have these one day!
