Ole Miss vs Bama

well, since we had no spring break around our house (it's hard when you both work!), we decided that since it was so pretty and we really didn't want to go downtown to the st. patrick's day parade, that we would head to oxford to watch ole miss and alabama baseball.  mary peyton was SO excited (imagine that - she loves any excuse to go to oxford!).  and this was HER first time to go to a baseball game at ole miss!

we dressed in flip flops, cute sun dresses, etc.  got the chairs loaded up in the car, plugged in the dvd player, grabbed sunscreen and headed out!  i decided to do our bills, etc., since i would be in the car uninterrupted for over 2 hours.

needless to say, i was not paying attention to anything going on outside the car until we got past winona.  that's when i looked up and saw that it didn't look sunny and pretty like it was at our house.

you've. got. to. be. kidding.

just our luck.

we got to oxford and went straight to the square.  ajax was our first stop, followed by square books junior, university sporting goods, treehouse toys, and oxford kids company.  it was then on to the stadium.

oh - when we pulled onto the square and were getting ready to park, mary peyton said, "hey!  this isn't the baseball stadium!"  she was ready for the game!

the game was good, with ole miss winning 5-2.  it's a good thing i had bought mpb a jacket at o.k.c. (70% off, i might add!) because she NEEDED IT!  i just made do and stayed cold!  tommy said that i was crazy and that it wasn't that cold.  i'm sorry.  63 degrees IS my favorite kind of weather, but when i'm dressed appropriately!  i was dressed for 75 degrees!!!  and some drizzling along the way - but not enough to even break out the umbrella....

we went by my cousin's house on the way back and had homemade lasagna (thanks, tina!  and trey for telling us to stop by!) and then we headed home!

so that was the extent of our "spring break" trip!  too bad it wasn't a trip to the beach or anything......

Glad you had fun, but you know I am a Tide fan so I liked the outcome of the game today a LOT better! *smile*

I am with you... yesterday was breezy! We went out and around and I wished I had thrown a jacket in the car too.
