another mary peyton time.....

so most of you know that we went to watch mra basketball a lot this season.  well, during this time, mary peyton fell for ryan goolsby.  

of course you all know that........

anyway, she also learned several of the other players - mattthew berry, grant jones, kyle price, caleb miskelly, etc.

and she calls them by their first and last names because "mommy!  that's how they say it at the ballgame!"  all while looking at me like i'm crazy for not knowing that!

anyway, we were in barnes and noble sunday afternoon while tommy was at a meeting at church.  i was blogging (see several posts below) and mpb was drinking coffee and looking at a magazine.

all of a sudden, here is our conversation:

mpb:  "mommy???"

me:  "what, baby?"

mpb:  {with wide eyes} "mommy, there's matthew berry!"

me:  {as i turn around and he's almost passing our table} "yes, baby, that IS matthew berry"

matthew:  {in passing}  "hey, how are you?"

mpb:  {teased beyond belief} "good!"

mpb:  {watching him like a hawk as he is in line in the cafe} "mommy, he looked at me!"

my poor child.  i sent ryan a text (not surprised, are you deanna?  ha) to tell him about her starstruck incident.  i told him that matthew probably thinks she is some crazy toddler and he said that they all know who she is.  i know she'll love that - since all of her "big" friends are graduating, maybe she can make some younger friends....you know - 10th grade or so!  ha
