so far....

so good.

thank you, everybody, for asking about tommy and how he's doing.

yesterday was pretty good - they had given him pain med before we left the surgical center and then he took 2 about every 5 hours.

the bad news - our air is out. actually not out, but needs freon. so it works, but blows air up to a million degrees. it was SO hot thursday night. so last night we left the window by tommy's side of the bed open about a foot. well - it was plenty cool in here this morning! just the way we like it! but tommy went in the middle of the night and got on the couch. we don't sleep on our backs and it's killing him to have to!

oh - our other bad news. last night the dang toilet in our bathroom decided to overflow. when tommy was in there. great. i ran around like a mad woman, got the plunger, and we got it fixed. thank goodness.

the good news - cory brought coldstone to US last night! and - for the first time in 4 weeks - they had raspberry sorbet. i had threatened (yes, i told the lady this) to start going to marble slab because they might have raspberry. she told me not to dare do that!

so now it's saturday night. i have to admit - i'm not a great nurse. i'm trying. it's just really hard for me. i mean - the day after i had my c-section (as soon as they removed the cathiter and my i.v.), i was up walking around straightening up my hospital room. i understand that everybody is different and all, but i'm just not the "nurse" type.

i've put ice on his knee, talked to our friend (hamp) who is going to do the physical therapy, kept him doped up on lortab, and took him to eat at pepper's (his request). those things i can do. the "nursing" stuff, i'm not so good at.

anyway - he'll be in shorts at church tomorrow, so if any of you reading this go to church with us, don't laugh at him!!!

physical therapy starts tuesday - he'll do that for 4 weeks, 3 times/week.

oh - and since y'all actually do care about my husband, the doctor didn't say anything about the a.c.l., so i'm assuming that it looked fine. thank God.

happy sunday, everybody!

OMG i was laughing at this post b/c i might as well have written it (except, i like playing nurse =))
