o.k. so my child IS potty trained! and it only took about 2 good days of working with her back in january. thank goodness!!!
anyway - when mary peyton needs to potty, she lets us know.
but after she goes, here's what i usually hear:
"mommy, i tee teed the potty" or
"mommy, i poo pooed the potty".
RRREEEAAALLLLLLYYY???
when she said it yesterday, i thought about how much those two little words "in the" mean in what she is saying!
i don't have big elegant examples or anything, but i did think about how important the little things are - the little things we do or say. they can make all of the difference in the world in what we mean!
i hope that i don't overlook the little things! and that i get to appreciate and enjoy the little things in my little angel while she is just that - little!

Oh, just wait...she'll get more verbal and she'll tell you even more!!! Some of my favorite Banana stories from when she was little are things I can't repeat too often because they involve the potty.
potty training was one of the single most rewarding parenting accomplishments I have done. And keep looking for those little things they are what make all the difference in the world.
