Tonight we had the first of several "events" before the wedding. "A Southern Style Buffet" was the theme and it was wonderful! We had salad, rolls, asparagus, grits with shrimp and some sort of strawberry shortcake dessert! Let's not leave out the sweet tea.
This was my first time to meet the "South Africans". They are such nice people. Too bad they don't live on this side of the water. They would be even better then!

Above is a picture of Julia, me, and Kim. We all lived together after Kim and I got out of hygiene school. She and Julia had roomed at State together. We have such a neat friendship. Hopefully we'll be able to keep Julia up to date on our happenings since she'll be so far away. Maybe if we rub it in enough, she'll want to come home! (wink, wink)

And you know I couldn't post pictures from tonight without posting one of Mary Peyton with Julia. Mary Peyton was able to meet Jay, the ring bearer (son of Julia's 1st cousin). Now we've talked about Jay on the way home. Hopefully she will like him enough to walk down the aisle with him and act right!!! Let's ALL keep our fingers crossed!!!
I did take several pictures of the "South Africans", but wanted to wait and post most of them together...plus, I am exhausted and it is going to be a long weekend! Can't we wait and change the time NEXT weekend?
Tomorrow includes (but is not limited to...):
~school pictures at daycare
~Easter pictures
~bridesmaid's luncheon
~a few errands
~rehearsal at 5:00
~rehearsal supper/party from 6:30-10:30
We are in for a full day. Say a prayer that Mary Peyton acts right! I think she will do fine.
Stay tuned....more to come from the Wedding Weekend!

Hey Suzy. I agree with Kim...tonight was lots of fun! It was a nice time to relax a bit and just have some fellowship. I'm glad you liked everyone. There are so many more people in South Africa for you to meet and like when you bring MPB to visit me in the next couple of years :-) See you at the BMaids Luncheon tomorrow!!
Love ya,
Julz
