A day of basketball and some Goolsby's!

Today we spent all afternoon at Mississippi College watching the MAIS
overall tournament. We decided to go out to Clinton early to ride
around downtown and then to eat lunch. There are a lot of chain
resturants, but ww really wanted something local.

Froghead Grill was our final choice and it was so good! It didn't
hurt that we had a coupon for it in our entertainment book, either! ;-)

JA's girls played Brookhaven Academy at 1:00. It was a very physical
game and Brookhaven came away with the win 54-44. We are so proud of
our Lady Raiders for such a good year, though!

At 3:30, the MRA boys played Jackson Prep. MRA came in with 4
consecutive overall titles under their belt and left with a 5th to add
to it. They won 67-51.

It wasn't that long ago that we had personal interests in MRA's games.
"Our" boys, Tyler and Ryan Goolsby, were playing. And they were good.
Really good.

The 1st of the 5 championships was Tyler's senior year/Ryan's
sophomore year. Ryan won a championship every year. Not only that-Ryan
won MPSA (it's now MAIS) player of the year his junior AND senior
years. He is the only player to have ever won it twice.

Today they came home (Tyler is in school at Ole Miss, Ryan is at
Mississippi State) to cheer on their alma mater! I had to snap a
picture of MP with both of them! We have pictures of her with them
individually at different things, but not one of the 3 of them! Bless
her little heart-she looks like a shrimp!

Now that basketball is over, we are ready for baseball and springtime!!!
