a few weeks ago, julie welch contacted me wanting a picture of mary peyton with a picture of our child that we sponsor through compassion, viviana. she said something about using the picture at church on orphan sunday, but i wasn't sure what they were going to do.
well, fast forward to today. orphan awareness sunday was today. it was so good to see pictures of the families that have already adopted children with pictures of their kids. there were even around 60 packets that represented children who needed to be adopted.
i think the last number i saw said that 32 children had been adopted! praise the Lord!
however.....
there are still packets of precious children who need a sponsor!
if you read my blog and are a chbc member, please consider sponsoring one of these children (if you are not already a sponsor). it is $38/month. what a small sacrifice to pay for a child to possibly spend eternity with Christ instead of separated from Him!
the picture above is the one i got to julie. i liked the idea of the globe there. and we turned it to ecuador since that is where viviana lives. she is such a blessing to us even though we may never meet her this side of heaven!
