Happy Valentine's Day!
in honor of the day of LOVE, i thought i would share a few things that i love....and some of these were put out specifically for Valentine's Day....others stay out all year...
i LOVE, LOVE, LOVE tulips! i bought these for myself this week and put them on my table. i like the way it looks - kinda different, but that's ok. there's just something about having fresh flowers around....it livens things up a bit!
part of my mantle decorations. i've got this big glittery heart plate propped up in my mccarty shell (which, truthfully, is full of shells that mary peyton has picked up at the beach over the years!) that just reminds me that it's Valentine's Day. the wirey, heart garland zig-zags it's way all over the mantle, in and out of pottery and books - and i love it...
a picture of the other side of my mantle. oh how i love my nicholas sparks books. books like these make my heart happy. really happy. and there's that wirey, heart garland! when the spotlight over the mantle is on, the garland shimmers!
my sweet angel in a picture taken by beth morgan this summer at the beach. the heart is actually my thumb print (on the right) and mary peyton's thumb print (on the left). we did this back in november, i love it, and i wouldn't give it up for anything.
this is one of my favorite things. the heart was bought in seaside last year at a little shop Fusion. they have pretty much all glass items. we bought this on our anniversary and said that over the years, we will buy more and just place them around the house to remind us of things we love......
oh - and the little heart? well, after mary peyton and i did our thumb prints, she "had" to have one of her and lily. so this little heart is mary peyton's thumb (on the right) and lily's on the left. she's such a little mama!
and finally - back to my mantle. i bought this little heart with "love" on the inside last year after Valentine's. it looks so much better in person. i've got it hanging where mary peyton's stocking hangs at Christmas.
and could i really show these decorations without having a picture of my other love in the picture? i thought i understood love prior to may 19, 2005, but i had no clue until they placed this little girl in my arms. and to think that as much as i love her, it doesn't even compare to the love our Lord has for her. i can't imagine...
hope you all have a wonderful day! if you post pictures of decorations or of your "loves", please comment and let me know so that i can go look!
much LOVE~
