I kept it!

after debating and then realizing "i REALLY do need this. friends have said it and my husband even said it", i kept it - my very own keurig. and i'm SO glad i did.

i don't know about you, but when i get something new, it makes me go back and examine the old things i have. the keurig was no exception. in order to make a place for it on the counter, i had to examine what i "really" wanted to have out or "had" to have out.

yes - i cleaned off my counter tops only to add something else to them! go figure!

i'll have to post pictures of my kitchen sometime. it's very "me". i spend so much time in there that i decided to surround myself with things i love in that room....instead of it just being the traditional kitchen...

for instance: my cabinet doors are covered with artwork, drawings, and pictures. i've got pictures of close friends so that mary peyton can see them (and i can, too!). i've got sweet little handprints - much smaller than the little that they are now. i've even got some footprints.

then there's my picture behind my stove. it's a black and white picture of mary peyton's hand with my grandmother's hand. and they are on a picture of my grandaddy (who passed away 8 years ago this december). i love not only the picture, but also the frame that it's in. my sweet friends, shana and jeff, made the frame out of wood from my great-grandfather's barn. it's just so special to me.

i've got a few of my cookbooks out. two, actually. and then the "write in cookbook" that i write random recipes in. all of the other ones are up on shelves in the little desk nook in the kitchen.

mccarty is everywhere. i love it and i use it.

o.k. - i just need to take some pictures and explain them. that would be much easier....

be watching for that soon. or do you even care? i don't know that i have many people who still read my blog. but i know a few do!

oh - and here's a picture of my keurig making my very first cup of coffee! YEA!!!
