The Wondrous Cross!

Last night some of us went to Easely Amused last night to paint "The Wondrous Cross".  It was so much harder than I thought it would be!  5 of us from my dental hygiene class were there - totally not planned.  Kinda.  Kim and i have done 3 classes together.  Jenny decided to join us.  Shana told me that she was going to paint on one of the cross nights with Kristina, but i didn't know what night. Ii hate that we were on opposite ends of the table though!

If you have not tried, Easely Amused, what are you waiting on??? (ok, ok - kim garner, i know that you can't come....but maybe when you are here next!).  You get there and there is a "set" picture that everybody does that night.  Then, an instructor stands at the front and walks you through the WHOLE painting.  Seriously.  The canvas, brushes, paints, and aprons are all included in the price.

The best part?  NO PAINT EXPERIENCE required!  I love it because when I've had to look at little teeth all day long, I can go to paint and have the whole big canvas to work on.   SO RELAXING.

Some of us are signed up for more classes - if you want to go with us, leave a comment with your email and i'll e-mail you the ones we are signed up for!  We usually meet up somewhere to eat at 6:00 and then head to the studio at about 6:45.

kim and i were actually proud of our paintings!  you know that you are always your own worst critic.

my finished cross.  i took the fabric that is going to go in mary peyton's playroom and matched the colors.  thank goodness bridget (who is one of the owners of Easely Amused) is also an interior designer - she helped me match!

and here is my "collection".  now if i can figure out what to do with them......and i've got more scheduled!!!!!
