for the first time ever, i made homemade ice cream!
not a big deal to most of you, i know, but i am so excited.
tommy and i got a cuisinart ice cream/yogurt mixer either for a wedding gift or right after we married. of course i didn't read the directions to it - the way the box made it sound, all you did was put stuff in the bowl and turn it on. well, that is what you do.
after you put the bowl in the freezer for about a day or so.
oops. didn't quite do that the first time - no wonder it never did freeze in the "30 minutes" that it's supposed to!
so for our ice cream welcome reception for our interim pastor, dr john bisagno, i decided that i would "really" make it.
i found a recipe online for the cuisinart maker and made low-fat peach yogurt!
now i'm torn - would it be so bad if i kept it here instead of taking it to church?
just kidding - but it IS good!

you are so funny. kyle bought a new ice cream freezer and loves it. it is a 1 1/2 maker he is still trying to find a good recipe yet. he loves homemade ice cream.

You'll have to get the Clegg Family's Milky Way ice cream recipe. :) It's super delicious and easy to make. Unfortunately we haven't really explored making many other flavors but think it is something I might add on to my list of things to do once I get back in MS. :)
Homemade ice cream.... I think I am going to make some of that for my hubs birthday tomorrow. You made me crave it!
