geez.

after getting ready for a week and a day to help tommy through surgery tomorrow, we find out at 3:30 this afternoon that it's not gonna happen.

here's how it went:

tommy pre-registered at the surgical center last thursday. he called the receptionist at ms. sports medicine and she said that he did not need to talk to dr o'mara's nurse - he just needed to get pre-registered.

so he did.

and he called yesterday to make sure everything was fine and the surgical center said that they didn't have him. so he pre-registered. again. yep - for the 2nd time.

so today he calls the surgical center to make sure he's still on for tomorrow (since yesterday they didn't even have him pre-registered) and they tell him that he's not on the schedule and that they don't have any openings.

good grief.

so tommy calls me after he's called and left dr o'mara's nurse a message. i rush to call my mom who was coming to stay with mary peyton so that she wouldn't have to get up at 5:00 a.m. and go with us.

basically, when the receptionist told tommy that he didn't need to talk to the nurse, she didn't know what she was talking about. that's where the ball was dropped.

so now we wait. one more week. and because of it, i'm going to have to miss the Ole Miss spring game. AGAIN. somehow year after year something comes up and i have to miss it.

but in 2 weeks i'm going to double decker. the same thing has always happened with it - something comes up and i can't go. but this year - it's my priority. and tommy can come, too. he'll just be hobbling around the square! (is hobbling even a word? hahaha).
