my child, bless her heart, may have her first crush. i don't know. but she is completely and totally smitten with our good friend, cory. we do have lunch with cory and jenny every sunday (o.k. we miss a few, but they are few and far between). and mary peyton all but tramples other children to get to "her" mr. cory in the rally room in treasureland (our preschool area at church).
when we ask her who she is going to see at church, here's the list: audrey, madilyn, geno, ummmm......(as she starts smiling REALLY big) and MR CORY!!!!!!!! any time we pull into the church parking lot, she asks if we are going to see cory. she even watched the Christmas program that we (the choir) did - because mr cory insisted that she would be good and sit still in his lap - and she WAS (good) and DID (sit still)!
cory is patient with mary peyton and is always fun. he always has a smile on his face and will play with her down on her level (bless his heart - in our floor). he jumps and bounces with her in the bed of his truck (sorry about the little incident, cory).
we are so fortunate to have friends like these! they are going to be such good parents when sweet parker arrives this summer. and speaking of him - mary peyton has named her last build-a-bear "parker bear" and sometimes calls it jenny bear or cory bear. just varies. but she walks around from time to time with the bear and a bottle showing us how she feeds parker. i think we're in trouble.....
