and then we went CRASH!

bunko tonight went GREAT. at least i thought so - since about half of my bunko group reads this blog (but never comments - you know who you are!), they hopefully would agree.

i've even cleaned up everything! and loaded the dishwasher. the house is so straightened up that i feel like i'm somewhere else. then i go to the guest room or my room. yep - i'm still at home.

tommy and mary peyton went over to rob and kim's while we were playing bunko. i decided to go with kim to their house since the rest of my family was there, too.

evrything started out fine. the kids were playing - and according to rob, they had had every toy out just minutes before we got there. well, they drug half of them out again.

mary peyton decided to struggle with sharing. she had a guitar, but she wanted the one that bryce had. so after whining, and us threatening once, i got up and went straight to her, and picked her up.

that's when it happened.

i turned around to head to bryce's room.

only to step in a drum.

then loose my balance - and remember i have my child on my left hip.

we somehow stumble the whole way to the wall and end up hitting a table to stop.

it's really all kinda blurry.

rob, kim, and tommy were frozen in shock - not knowing what to do. bryce was crying because his drum is broken where my foot went in it.

mary peyton and i are sitting on the floor - somewhat in shock, too.

i was scared that her left arm was broken. it is scratched at the elbow and is going to have a bruise. i hurt my left shin and right arm.

and you know what?

mr giggles (aka tommy), mr giggles #2 (aka rob), and mrs giggles (aka kim) couldn't do anything but think about how:
~we could have won the $100,000 on america's funniest home videos (i think kim's exact words were "i mean, balloons and EVERYTHING!".
~many hits the video would get on youtube
~hard it would be for me to re-inact the drama so that they could video it so that the 2 above things could happen.

hope you got a little laugh out of my "follies".

I am so glad that no one was hurt, but I have just relived the moment at my desk and cannot stop laughing. The drum is fine. I am just glad y'all were over to visit. We need to do it more often. I will just make sure next time I have the camera rolling at all times!

Sorry, I had to laugh because almost the same exact thing happened to me and Libbey about this time last year. I tripped over a suitcase while I was carrying her. I still haven't figured out how I missed that big ole thing. I could barely move the next day because I was so sore. I am glad you are both ok. And, bunko was great last night. The food was very good and your kitchen looks wonderful.

Bwahahahahaahaaaaaa!!!! I would have given ANYTHING to have seen that. But I guess reading it is better, because I didn't have to go through the moment of worry that you or sweet thing were hurt.

I'm really glad you are both okay.

But I really wish Tommy had the camera!

Oh man, Suz. I would never laugh at you falling like that. Not in front of you, anyway.

That really is too funny! I cannot tell you how many times I have stumbled or tripped getting so mad at Mallory. I guess it is God's way of telling us not to sweat the small stuff....we just look like idiots in the meantime. Glad no one was hurt though.
