the new computer still isn't up and running, but just by chance, this old computer is letting me do a post. so i'm taking advantage of the situation.
i'm glad november is here. october was insanely busy. of course november isn't going to be that "laid back", but it shouldn't be quite as hectic. then december..... yep, november is just the calm before the storm!
tommy and mary peyton left about 45 minutes ago for oxford. hopefully the rebels will win, but with this year's team, who knows. mary peyton inherited the red/blue blood of the barnette family. truly. my sweet angel woke up yesterday morning ready to go to "o miss". she loves it and wants her cheerleader suit and HER pompoms (some cute little ones we got at oxford kids co.). i grew up at mississippi state fan. then i married into this group of people. wow. that's about all i can say. but i'm glad that tommy's family has that tradition. and now it's being passed on to the next generation. and the grove/oxford isn't as bad as i thought it was going to be. and it's even better when we win (cooper manning's son is about a year older than mary peyton, so we still have a long time to wait.....the 2003 season was so nice......)!
so today i am here by myself. wow. and i'm doing something that i've never done before. ya'll ready? i am judging a beauty pageant. yep. me. good grief. tonight in madison, preliminaries are being held for miss mississippi. and i'm not judging those! but i am judging the teen portion of the prelims. i can't wait. i have to be there at 10:00 for interviews and then we'll have supper at the director's house at 5:00 before going to the pageant. IF YOU WANT TO SEE A GOOD PRODUCTION, come out! it's at the madison cultural center (right by the train - across from first baptist church madison) at 7:00.
and in between interviews and the pageant, i think i might finish cleaning up so that we can get a head start on Christmas decorations around here. just INSIDE the house. can't let the neighbors think we're completely crazy! but if we don't get started soon, it will be the middle of december - literally - we have something EVERY weekend! so i have to take advantage of the time i've got (plus i've already started wrapping presents. and those who know me know that i'm pretty much done buying!!!). more on that behavior disorder later.....
i'm off to get ready for interviews!

so exciting about being a judge! can't wait to hear all about it! i am so tempted to put up decorations, too! just on the inside though. i usually do it the day after thanksgiving b/c i usually have the day off work, but one month of decorations is just not long enough!!
I want to judge a pageant! I've got credentials. Hook me up!
