PLEASE GIVE ME FEEDBACK!!!

o.k. i need your help. i've been to many (way too many) other blogs and see pictures all of the time. i am about to start uploading my pictures to "another source" (i.e. snapfish, shutterfly, picasa, photobucket, etc., etc.) but want someone else's advice.

part of this is because a friend of mine who is a computer guru informed me that if/when my computer crashes, all pictures are gone! not that i didn't know it or that i didn't already have them on discs, but i like having access to them online, you know?

but i want a site that has unlimited storage AND where i can edit the photos, etc. sometimes i like to save one in color and one in black/white, you know?

SO...........................please give me your input. do you use one of the sites? is it easy to "handle". i'm going to decide what site to use and then go back - yes all the way to may 2005 when i joined the digital world - and upload all of the pictures. that way i can also free up a TON of space on my old computer!

thanks in advance for the input!!!!! i appreciate the help!

Ok, I have pics on photobucket AND Flickr. I also use Picasa. But the one I use is downloaded to my computer...I don't think its out there on the web. I do love it, tho.

I haven't used photobucket or Flickr a whole lot but they both have been relatively easy. I see alot more Flickr these days, so that may mean something.

Basically, I am no help at all.

My pictures are ALL on 2 hard drives on the house computer. It automatically backs them up on a weekly basis. They are also in the shared folders so that I can move them to this computer as well. SOME of them are backed up on DVD. Everything runs swimmingly till the DVD step...it starts breaking down there.

I'm rambling. And I'm leaving now.

i have mine on picasa-
unlimited storage.
edit til your heart's content.
and you can order them from any site you want! (picasa does not have a 'share' feature or its own printing-) but it connects you to all of the sites including walmart and walgreens to upload and order the ones you want... already edited!

I use Snapfish most of the time for the editing features and to pick them up at Walgreens in Madison when I print. I used Shutterfly one time and wasn't pleased at all, especially with the quality of the prints from Target. I think I am going to start using Flicker though; my computer guru/technical advisor, Jeremy, says its the best. And he's always right about stuff like that!

i use snapfish and picasa. i used snapfish first and so all my family knows how to order from there, but i like using picasa, because if something were to happen to your pictures and you had t hem on snapfish, you could order copies, but you would have to pay to "re" download them to your computer. if you put them on picasa nd then put them on the web album, you can download them again without having to pay anything should something happen. and anyone you send the pictures to can download them to their own computer without having to pay.... e-mail me if any of this doesn't make sense!
