my "baby", mary key, turned 11 years old on sunday. Wow. i can't believe how fast 11 years have gone by. if you have been reading my blog long (and don't already know my family), this is crump's little sister (i did a big birthday shout out to him in april). she is also wilson's sister, but his birthday isn't until august. sorry, wilson. and yes, you will get a cake this year.
more than that, though, she is special enough that tommy and i named our little girl after her. and she was one of the most beautiful flower girls ever!
mary key was born 2 weeks before my graduation from pillow academy. and she made it to graduation - i've got the pictures to prove it (but don't feel like scanning them). with key and t.c. already having a 9 year old and 7 year old, i was able to help them out and keep mary key pretty much whenever i wanted to! she is also the reason my nickname is "sissy". we were going to get her to say "suzie" when she was little, but it came out "sissy" and stuck. to be honest, i like it that way. i know where it all started and now LOTS of little kids call me sissy.
she has been a joy in my life and i am so thankful that God placed her in our lives.

her soccer birthday cake that i made her. she was in jackson for a soccer tournament on her birthday, so i surprised her with this cake at papito's in madison (the rest of her team was there, too).
