Friday when Tommy got home from work, we loaded up and headed to MRA for a track meet. Yes, they were still running after we got there. Anyway......Stella (if you've been reading this blog for a while, you know who she is. If not, I'll tell you in a second...) ran 4 times. We only got to see her run once.
For you "newbies"...Stella dates my cousin Wilson. Mary Peyton LOVES "ella". We have a picture of Stella and Wilson in our kitchen and DAILY, we are told very sternly that "ella an' wisson" are in that picture.
Stella is only in 10th grade (yes, she looks much older than that - SO pretty!!! - and is also much more mature than that.). She placed first in every race Friday (and someone told me that she has not had a second place finish in 2 years). Wow. She gave Mary Peyton her ribbon from the race we watched, but the "ribbon fairy" must have gotten it because we could not find it ANYWHERE. Stella told Mary Peyton that she would give her another one. How sweet.
OH. I almost forgot. When Stella was getting ready to run the 200 meter dash, Mary Peyton kept screaming her name. Everybody thought it was so cute!

After the track meet, we went with Cissy Gallagher (Kathleen and Mary Langdon, too) and some other people to eat. Tommy was the only man in the bunch! We went to My Friend's Place Deli which was very good. Anyway...Mary Peyton went straight to Mary Langdon and sat with all of the "big girls" to eat. I hate to admit it, but Tommy and I enjoyed getting to eat our meal without having to check on her constantly! Thanks, Mary Langdon!!!!!!
