O.k. so we decided to really get the whole "McCarty Experience" right, we needed to eat at their restaurant, The Gallery. It is just 2 blocks up from McCarty and has the neatest atmosphere. It is somewhere you could picture going with a group of women for a brunch. Tommy would never step foot in the door! But we liked it!
This was our little "centerpiece" - if you want to call it that. Everything (with the exception of the tea glasses and the silverware) was McCarty. I ended up going back to the store with Mama and she got me the salt and pepper set you see in the picture above. Isn't it cute!
Obviously, this was my meal. They had 2 choices and Dana, Mary Jo, and I all got the same thing. Of course the meal comes after they serve you an awesome vegetable soup, little cornbread muffins and figs with goat cheese. Now I'm not normally one to try different things - and I had never even had figs - but everything was scrumptious! OH - our meal was Shrimp Crepes with Merigold Tomatoes and Spinich Casserole. YUM!
Sorry about the "boring" picture. Our dessert was chocolate cobbler with ice cream. We split it - but really could have eaten 1 or 2 each! It was SO SO good! See the little lemon dish to the right? They also served butter on this. And yes, when we went to the store, we bought one of these, too!
Just a picture of us eating at The Gallery. We had so much fun! I think they were ashamed of how we were dressed - they seated us at the back in a room by ourselves... They should appreciate the fact that we were camping out to get their pottery! Oh well...it was fun!
