And we will be at/in a wedding! Julia and Mark are getting married March 10th and as much as I hate for one of my closest friends to live half way around the world (literally - he is from South Africa and she has already moved there), I am happier for her than she will ever know. I have been with Julz through some rough times - and she has also been with me through the same. She and Mark are so perfect for each other and I wish them all the happiness in the world - or at least on this side of it! (Mark, you know you would really like to move HERE!!!)
For those who may not know, yes, the wedding is here in Jackson at Galloway Methodist Church. There is a group of their friends/family who will be coming here from South Africa, so I look forward to meeting everyone! The weekend is packed with some great get-togethers which will start on Thursday night before the wedding. I will post pictures from the events after the wedding!
The pictures above are some of my favorites of Mary Peyton and Julia, Julia and Mark, me and Julz, etc. In the one of Julz and Mark (hugging), Mark and I had COMPLETELY surprised Julz. She thought that he was going to be getting here on a Tuesday, but Mark had arranged with me to get here on Saturday. So that picture is when she realized he was with me! My favorite thing from that meeting was that it was Mark's first time in the U.S. In South Africa, they drive on the opposite side of the road than we do. So I freaked him out for a little while while we were on Airport Road. It really was funny.
O.k. Julia called and is on the phone now, so I guess I'll go and get this posted! GREAT...I have 10 pictures to post and it only let me do 5, so there will be another post of pictures! Sorry for the "inconvenience"!
