The Barnette Family

Friday night, we were tailgating with our JA family on Champion's Hill at Mississippi College when I realized I didn't know where Mary Peyton was. I knew she was there, I just couldn't put my eyes on her in the crowd of people.

I decided to walk out to look from a distance and found this........


She had been begging us to go to the stands to our seats and was tired of hearing us say "it's not time yet", so she just plopped down and watched the team warming up.


By the way, the jersey she has on was Tommy's game jersey his senior year. Mary Peyton and I decided that we would pull out the vintage JA gear!

It was surprisingly well received! I got comments from friends and even a few from Tommy's old coaches/teachers!


Anyway, a little later, I couldn't find either of my Raiders. Tommy had gone down where MP was and sat by her. My heart melted...
