dance camp and the delta

last week mary peyton stayed with my mom in the delta and went to dance camp - the same dance camp i went to growing up! mrs. aden even taught my mom dance when she was at mississippi delta junior (it's community now) college! this was her 4th year to go and it i love seeing how much more confident she is year after year!

she was even chosen as one of the 6 (i think) outstanding campers this year! we were so proud - but just wish her daddy would have been there to see it!

after the program, she and i went out to minter city to spend some time with daddy, grandmama, and the rest of our family. mary peyton and lawson are inseparable once we get out in the country! they have such a sweet relationship. and rolin was just confused as to where "tobby" (his name for tommy) was. he is tobby's little buddy!

comments are below the pictures. beware: there are a lot! i'm in a place with good wi-fi, so i'm taking full advantage of the situation!

my sweet girl right when i got there! i had missed her so much!!!

my baby and me! i didn't think this picture was too bad...

getting ready to dance!!!

mp and avery - my best friend's little girl! they are a little less than 2 months apart!

this year we had little cousins there, too! mari parker (barry and anna's little girl) and camryn (rob and amber's little girl) were both there and did awesome!

mary peyton and mari parker getting some lovin' from angie! (angie is my first cousin and mari parker's aunt)

the trophy winners with deanna and mrs aden! trophies are given to 5+ year campers and to the outstanding campers.

mp with mam-maw (deanna's mom). mary peyton has been adopted into their family and so looks forward to seeing her every year! she even got in the grandchildren group picture this year!

mp with my mom - thanks, b.b. for taking care of her for a week!

with mrs deanna! she has been with mrs aden for a long time and is now the director of the camp.

mrs aden with mary peyton

mrs aden with 3 generations of her dancers!

so proud of her trophy!!!

me and mp with the trophy! =)

apparently over the week, mary peyton started a collection of snails that would get out and crawl up furniture, etc. eewww

but on the last day, she let them go!

sweet, sweet rolin. he was probably asking for tobby at this point

mp and her best bud lawson

lawson, rolin, and mp after helping us rake part of grandmama's yard!

daddy coming back on his toy forklift before the rain

early morning - and one of the most beautiful things in the world - a delta sunrise...

mary peyton and pattie watching for uncle joe, lawson, rolin, and aunt betty jane to come down the driveway for breakfast! it was too funny hearing lawson and mp say how they didn't want to oversleep and miss breakfast!

this may be my favorite.....

lawson and mp watching pattie make her awesome pistachio stuff. trust me - it's divine.

and of course it's always best when you lick the cool whip tub!!!

going to lawson's to play for a little while!

all 3 in the window leaving!

meeting lawson and rolin's new puppy, spot. i think we would have smuggled him into our car if they weren't looking.....

talking to big daddy about irrigating the beans!

wow! if you've made it this far, you deserve a STAR - or a trophy - or a puppy (you know, like spot?) - or a cup of coffee - or just a pat on the back! so leave a comment and let me know if you are one of the ones!

Oh Suzanne, I am sitting here drinking my morning coffee reading your blog and it brought tears to my eyes, tears of joy, sadness and remembrance. It is now so much fun to see MP, MP and Brock growing up and remember you and Anna playing together when y'all were young. Look at my blog sometimes - maribrockdesigns.blogspot
