i thought i would post a picture of a new-found love of mary peyton's. this year, she has taken tennis lessons every week on monday. and she loves it! last monday they did a little performance to show the parents everything they've learned. i was impressed!
anyway - that is where this picture is from.....
but before she turns 6 (in just a few hours), i wanted to put down a poem that i've said to her since she was born...so much so that she recites it now when i say it.....
i love you so, my daughter,
and i never cease to pray
that God will guard and keep you safe
within His love each day.
may you be guided by His hand
in all you say and do.
for all the pride of life for me
is centered, dear daughter, in you.
i love you, mary peyton. more than my own life. and in the morning when you wake up, you'll be holding up 6 fingers - finally!
