during Christmas, mary peyton and lawson decided that they wanted to pick up pecans. i remember some mention of them wanting enough to make a pie - even though they don't know how to make one! but pattie sure does!
anyway, they worked hard and picked up several buckets of pecans! granddaddy would have loved this time with these great-grandchildren that he never knew. i can't tell you how many times granddaddy was out there picking up pecans when i would leave to go to schoool or come home. oh how i wish i could go out and join him now - instead of just taking it for granted like i did at the time.
