today was career day for the primer class at JA. as soon as i saw this on the calendar for today, i asked mary peyton what she wanted to be. without hesitation, she told me that she wanted to be a mommy and a doctor. this is exactly what she told katrice she wanted to be when she was in k3. honestly, i'm a little surprised that it's still what she wants to be!

i decided to go ahead and get her a little pair of scrubs. i mean, all doctors need scrubs, right? tc's has scrubs for children, so off we went! doesn't she look adorable!?!?!?!
we talked about her taking a purse and her baby with her as well, but decided against that.
i went to the school and talked to the class (sorry there are no pictures from that part of the day - i was literally at the school for about 13 minutes and 9 of those were when i was speaking! it was insane!). i took a big form of a mouth (with a big toothbrush to match!) and went over brushing, a mirror and explorer and counted mary peyton's teeth, gloves, xrays, and of course goodie bags (with a new toothbrush, toothpaste, and floss for each!).
mary peyton loved it because the child of the parent speaking got to sit at the front of the class with their parent. her smile as she sat there was as beautiful as ever!
after i spoke, i left to run errands etc, and came back in time to be early in carpool line. when mary peyton got in the car, she said that a friend told her, "mary peyton, your mom is the best mom ever!". it made mary peyton's day - even though that little girl has the "best mom ever" herself!
mp decided that she wanted to go to backyard burgers (she wanted sweet peppers until she found out that denise wouldn't be there), but before we went in we had to snap a picture - and it wouldn't be right if we didn't have on our masks, huh?
thank you, Lord, for this precious little girl that you've blessed my life with!
mary peyton, i pray that you will always follow your dreams. and if being a mommy and a doctor is your dream, then i promise that daddy and i will do everything we can to help you achieve those goals. you can be anything that you want to be. i love you. mommy
