vintage valentines

i found this book of old fashioned valentines at barnes and noble and could not pass them up! the valentines are so cute and bring back more memories than i realized they would!

i have gotten mp boxes of valentines that are stocked up that i thought i would like to use....dora, playhouse disney, animals, etc...........but these are what i consider "real" valentines. and i would MUCH rather use them!

you punch them out, "make" the envelopes, and decorate! some have glitter; some have a felt feel on parts of them.

i think they are precious. and i'm glad that i found them for the first year that mary peyton will actually realize what valentine's day is all about!

speaking of valentine's day, what do you do? do you have anything special that you do year after year with your spouse/significant other? the kids?

does cupid come to your house? and if he does, does he leave gifts out?

we do have "cupid". he comes like the Easter bunny, tooth fairy, santa, etc. only when he comes, he leaves the gift(s) at the bar where mary peyton eats breakfast.

ok - don't roll your eyes at me - he only brings a little book or happy. nothing big and not more than 1 small gift. then tommy and i give her a card and some little something.

and since valentine's day is only 12 days away, i'd better get busy!!!!!

here's to LOVE!

I do the same thing...we don't have cupid come, but I am gonna make a little goodie bags for Tay and probable a little rattle toy for Lexie.
