I got a call from my aunt this morning. Actually, I got 2 calls. And then a text that said "call me".
My heart sank. Immediately I started thinking that something had happened to my grandmama. Then my mind raced over to the fact that something may have happened to my Daddy.
My heart went from sinking to racing. I couldn't call her fast enough.
She answered and said "your daddy is ok". Ok-now I know who to be worried about..... She went on to say that they were at the er and that daddy had almost lost part of a finger.
He was picking up some large boxes/crates and one slipped or he dropped it-I'm not sure. Anyway-he knew he hurt his finger, but figured the fingernail would just turn dark and he might lose it. He continued with what he was doing.
When he got through, he took off his gloves and part of the middle finger on his right hand was dangling. Bone and all.
He went to Dr Flautt who then sent him to he er. Once there, they sewed the finger back on and he has to go back on Monday to see if the reattachment is working.
I know in the big scheme of things, it's just a finger-an at that, it's the top 3rd of a finger, but please pray for Daddy. That he doesn't have much pain and that the finger DOES reattach.
It's times like these that I want to be home.......

I'm sorry to hear about your daddy and I will pray. I'm glad everything went well for your mom, and I will continue to lift her up as well. -Oh and I posted your new button on my blog! Hope the weekend gets better! ~Blessings!
Your daddy is doing great. He is being a pretty good patient, just a little hardheaded. I was so glad to be here for him and that he wanted my help. Think the pain is better now. Just pray for PINK tomorrow when he goes back. I hope he doesnt have to have surgery.
