last summer i discovered nicholas sparks. i'd had some of his books for quite some time (i got them at a garage sale for $0.50 or $1 each) and on one of our beach trips, i decided to read the notebook.
now the shocker - no. i'd never seen the movie (and actually still haven't - although i DO have it on dvr!).
i finished the book in no time and then had to go to borders (there wasn't a barnes & noble near by) to see if they had any hardback nicholas sparks.
oh - that's another thing - when i find an author that i love, i want the books in hardback - not paperback.
so i got lucky that they had one book, dear john, in the bargain book section. i bought it and was a good way through it when we got home.
then i saw where sparks' newest book was about to come out (right around my birthday). so when we were in greenwood, stella and i ran to turnrow books and bought the last song.
i will go ahead and say right here that i go through periods where i read a lot and then times where i hardly read at all. well - the last song fell under the last of those. i read some of it, but as of last week, was on page 75 or so. i finished it today and now can't wait until the movie comes out on april 2!!!!!
now i've got to decide which one to start next......
