What to do???

so here's the deal. the tree right there? yep. it's still up. along with 2 other big ones and a smaller one. all of the mantle decorations? yep. still up. the nativity scene? still up. pretty much every single Christmas decoration in our house? yep. still up.

why, you might ask?

well, here was our schedule:
~Christmas Eve: leave madison around 3:00 headed to the delta
~December 30th: come back home, unpack, repack (and i went to see twilight again - this time with chasity).
~December 31st: leave around 6:00 a.m. for dallas
~January 3rd: arrive home around 7:00 p.m.

so there has been NO TIME for taking down decorations!

BUT - there's also been no time to put away the new Christmas presents, etc. and get the house back to normal! so getting the new stuff put up is more of a priority to me. that way i can at least have some things out of the way!

here's the deal - i've got bunko next monday. yes, a week from tomorrow. i really just want to wait and take down the decorations AFTER bunko instead of putting myself (and my family) in some kind of crazy frenzy this week to get everything put up and the house back in order, you know? that on top of getting back in the school/work routine, as well as cakes.....

is that tacky? go ahead and leave a comment - i know that many people in that bunko group read my blog anyway (right? april, kim, heather, lenore, nikki, jennifer, kelly???), so are ya'll going to talk bad about me if it's still Christmas?

let me know!

I say leave them up. I am not part of the Bunko group but I am sure they would enjoy seeing your decorations!

I would keep my stuff up year around if BJ would let me!

pretty bad....You see Grant is having a hard time understanding that christmas is over and Santa is gone...mainly because of the people who still have the big blow up things and lights outside the house...Its time Suzanne...unless you want to bring Grant more presents...

I say leave them up. Christmas only comes once a year.

I will be happy to see your Christmas stuff. I was sad to put our stuff away last week, anyway! See you then!

Every single piece of my Christmas is still up too! We always leave ours up until January 6th -- the Epiphany -- so it is really too early to take it down. (Smile!) I mean how would the wise men find their way to baby Jesus if we didn't have our Christmas decorations up. (Just kidding!)

Don't put you or your family in stress mode to take down the decorations. Enjoy them with your friends, and I wish I could be there to enjoy them too. Mine are still up in the house and some of them in the yard. They might come down this week or next. Who knows?!

I would love to see all the trees you have talked about in the previous post!

Besides, I am just proud of you for letting us all come into your home for Bunko...just twelve days into the new year.
