Asking for prayers for a friend.....

many of you who read my blog know of the story about mary peyton and jeremy richardson. if you don't, go back and read through posts starting in september 2008.

today, linda picked mary peyton up from school since tommy had a dinner meeting at bonefish and i was playing bunko for a friend who needed a sub. tommy came home and while i was on the phone with him, he said that he needed to go because the ups guy was here.

now knowing that i had not ordered anything for mary peyton (and the label had my name and said "for mary"), i had no idea.

well, tommy opened the box and said that it was a beautiful green smocked dress from strasburg - that it would be perfect for Easter. i couldn't think of WHO would be sending mary peyton a dress, then i asked where it was shipped from.

birmingham, alabama.

my mind went back to this past saturday when mrs. charlotte richardson called and left a message saying that they wanted to get mary peyton a dress and were just going to have it mailed to our house.

oh my goodness!!!

so tonight when i was at bunko, mrs. charlotte tried to call again and left a message saying that we should have a package today or tomorrow. i called her back when i left bunko.

i instantly thanked her for the dress and she said that it was completely jeremy. she said that he wanted to get mary peyton a dress for Christmas, but they got busy and couldn't get up to the mall to get it. so he told her that he wanted to get one for mary peyton to have for Easter and wanted her to get it before his next surgery. jeremy bought the dress with his Christmas money and told me tonight that "she deserved it". what a selfless, sweet person.

so on to the title of the blog post...jeremy is going back for surgery in the morning at 6:30. he is in houston, texas, and dr noth will be performing the procedure. please - even if it is after surgery - pray for jeremy with us.

we hate that this injury happened to him, but we know that God knew before jeremy was born that this was going to be a part of his life and something that he was going to have to go through. now we are going to be praying believing.

i will keep you posted. below is the dress - it's a mint green color - but you can't tell from the picture that much - it almost looks yellow....it was taken with my phone.

What a touching continuance of the story, Suzanne! Thanks for sharing. How humbling it must be to know that God is already using MP to do wonderful things for Him at such a young age. Both MP and Jeremy are in my prayers.
