just a few quick things....

monday morning on the way to JA/work, mary peyton and i were praying. sometimes she doesn't want to say her prayers by herself - she wants me to say things and she will repeat after me. well, we got to the part where we were praying for tommy. here's how it went:

mommy: "and please be with daddy"
mpb: "and please be with my daddy"
mommy: "as he goes to the doctor thursday"
mpb: "as he goes...DADDY'S GOING TO THE DOCTOR?"

it was so funny - she went from eyes closed and head bowed to cocked head and eyebrows crunched and looking straight at me.

so yes - tommy is going back to the doctor. mary katherine can sympathize with this. he has hurt his knee - again. this is the same one that we had surgery on in april. i hope that he gets them to check BOTH knees and just go ahead and get EVERYTHING taken care of!

my daddy has officially made it to california. he left (on his harley!) last wednesday headed west - my uncle joe is on his harley, too. they are having the best time! they've seen things that i hope to see one day - just a few: grand canyon, las vegas, death valley. they are going on kind of a big loop in california and are coming back home a different route. i was talking to daddy last night and he walked me through the "path" (i had my atlas out).

i am so glad that he is able to go and is having such a good time!

that's all for now - i've got a few friends who have started blogs that i've got to add to my list and one who is {GASP} about to FINALLY start doing hers!!! i started it for her a year and a half ago, but nothing has been posted since then!!!!! but now i think she's going to do it. so proud of you! (you know who you are!!)
