Something I enjoy.....

is a book. a good book that will make me want to pick it up and not put it down. one that will force me to read "just one more chapter". only to read "just one more" after that one.

i don't know why i'm wanting to do this post, but i thought i'd share with you the books that i've read lately and the ones that i'm getting ready to read.

my "reading streak" began again in may. i go through periods of reading a lot and then not reading for a while.

anyway, i had seen an ad for the book "the angels of lockhart" by dr thomas wiley in mississippi magazine. the book caught my attention because dr wiley's late son, tom, was married to the daughter of some precious friends of ours. but then i read that it was fiction based on fact. that made me want to read it more. i think i picked this book up twice to read - and that was it! and i personally loved it. i will say that it's not for everybody, but i did enjoy it.

i finished reading "the angels of lockhart" on our trip to hoover, alabama, for the sec championship baseball game. so while in hoover, i told tommy that i needed to find a barnes and noble so that i could get another book to continue reading! i ended up choosing "bergdorf blondes". it looked light-hearted enough to be an easy read. and it was. they could have left out some of the language (it's not overwhelming through the book, but there is some there!), but i still enjoyed the book!

so now that i'm through with bergdorf blondes, i've picked up 3 new books (all on the hardback bargain table at barnes & noble!). i'm deciding what i'm going to read next - probably "a wedding in december". who knows - i'll report back on it!

and there's no way i could get books for me and not for mary peyton! so i got her a new book - one that she and i (and tommy if he wants) can read together every night!

Can I borrow the book with the word "skank" in the title after you finish it? It looks like something I would like!
