potty training

is SO SO not for me.

mary peyton was almost completely potty trained. well, she was going a full day without getting her pull-up wet/dirty.

then we changed daycares.

i don't know if it was the sudden change or what the deal was. she started out "somewhat" going at the new daycare. then decided to stop. but before she stopped, all of the other kids (well, at least 3 or 4 of them) decided that THEY wanted to be like mary peyton and "go potty". so i've had mom's thank me for mary peyton being potty trained.

they don't understand that while their little ones decided TO go, mary peyton decided NOT to go. great.

so now we're about to cold turkey it. i've got the panties and the plastic, horrid things that go over them. i'm gonna do it. I HOPE.

i've told her that she can't go to JA until she tee-tee's and poo-poo's in the potty. it's the only thing i know to get her attention - and it does to some extent. i've offered to buy her a kitchen (this is what one of the moms who thanked me did). i offered to buy her ALL "cineralla" panties. i think she likes being in control of this situation.

pray that we live through this!!!

girl--all i can say is get on your knees every DAY and PRAY to GOD in HEAVEN that you don't lose your mind over potty training. if you were hoping for some fluffy, positive encouragement it won't come from me on this topic. i decided to just be honest about it. love you though;)

oh yeah, i enjoyed our visit the other night and i appreciated your input on the school topic.

Well, I can honestly say it is up to you, mama. take a day where you don't have to go anywhere...kind of like today.
Tell Mary Peyton when she wakes up that pull ups are gone bye bye and let her watch you as you throw a pull up away ( just 1 in case this doesn't work) then show her the cute BIG girl princess panties and put them on her nad let her pull them up. Now, take her to the potty every 30 minutes without fail and I guarantee ( almost) that she will be potty trained by that night. This is what I did with Katie Bug. She had 2 accidents early on in the day and then voila' GOOD LUCK

OH I am so with you on this one. I could write a book. Actually, several books.

Laura Grace was hell to potty train. She would look at me and pee on the floor and then LAUGH. It was a huge battle of wills and I am not sure who won but she did finally potty train!!

I hope it goes quickly!!

Do you think it is her teacher? Did her otehr daycare have more consistency?

OH and I did the every 30 minute thign with LG. She just peed on the floor every 10 minutes. Literally. I have grey hairs to prove it.

One more thing...and then I promise I am done.

Good for you on the quitting thing.

Let me just tell you. Banana didn't care about the princess panties. She didn't care about the M&Ms. She didn't care about the toys. She didn't care if I cried, or threatened, or anything. She didn't care is Mrs. Dianne talked sweet to her, or if Aunt Junebug told her what a big girl she was, or if Daddy told her she had to.

So I quit.

Then one day, she decided to go.

JA doesn't start till August. Don't stress yourself out. If she isn't going by July, then you can panic.
