just some ramblings:

i don't really have anything big and creative to blog, just some stuff that's spinning around in my head.

this was a busy week. monday was bunko - it was fun. this is a group that i have been in less than 6 months and i'm really still getting to know some of the people in there. i'm glad i had it so early in the year because it gave me extra incintive to get the kitchen done!

speaking of kitchen - i am getting the pictures downloaded on the computer TONIGHT, so i'll try to please all of you and show you the "new" kitchen before it gets all cluttered upagain!

we went to watch pillow play basketball at ja on tuesday night. pillow won 3 out of 4 games - only losing the jr high boys. of course we had to go to watch our stella. and she's got a hurt ankle. but she says it's getting better. i hope so!

wednesday was church.

last night was a women's conference at church. sandy mattox was there and the topic was "24/7 simplified". she did an awesome job of helping us see things in our lives that need to be "decluttered" and moved out of the way so that we can be everything God intends us to be! very, very good information! maybe now my priorities will be back in order.

today started out as another lazy friday with mary peyton. until 9:30. shana called. she was stuck at lowe's with a flat tire. mary peyton and i got out of bed (we were up - just being lazy) and went to "save" shana.

i am so glad she called.

it got me to get up and out of the house earlier than i had planned. after we dropped her off, mary peyton and i got a frappaccino and i cleaned out the car - i mean vacuum and all! we then went to the mall and got some good deals!!!!! then went to mail something for my boss. then went to sweet dreams in madison to meet my friend jenny.

JENNY AND CORY ARE HAVING A BOY!

yep, those of you who know them - it's a boy! parker cole winders. mary peyton is excited about getting a little friend boy. while we were at the mall, she made him a bear in build-a-bear. she called the bear "parker bear". and told jenny that the bear was for "baby parker". so now all of our babies will be either sanders (our friends chasity & brad's little girl) or parker!

so now we're back home. sitting around just enjoying the time.

and to think....today wouldn't have been near as fun if i hadn't gotten a call from shana to get me out of the house.

i would have missed the little giggles that mary peyton gave me today. the fun little things like jumping over cracks in the concrete going into the mall. seeing her face light up when she gets to "punch the button" on the elevator. hearing in her voice the love she has for friends of ours.

yep. i love days like today. it makes me so thankful to be a mom.

on the way home, my mom called to tell me that a friend from home (also a patient of mine - she would drive down to my office - of course she was already a patient there before i started working there, but anyway........) passed away. she was diagnosed with cancer last year. she was 73. so hard to believe.
