it's almost finished!!!!!!!!

and i didn't even take "before" pictures. oh well.

we got the kitchen floor grouted yesterday - actually jeff and tommy got the kitchen floor grouted. while i made the FIRST trip to lowe's.

when i got back, with lunch in hand, i started mopping it. and mopping it. and mopping it. if you've ever tiled (thanks for the warning, shana!), you know what i'm talking about.

so we are through with that. jeff heads home to pick up a saw and tommy and i leave to go get new quarter round - among other things. yep - the SECOND trip to lowe's. while there, we went ahead and looked at appliances (we've been doing this since august/september) and found what we wanted! but we had to come home and make sure that the stove would fit.

we come home, unscrew the existing stove, pull it out, measure, and see that the new one WILL fit!!!!! YEA!!!!!!!!!!!!! so tommy decides that i need to go BACK to lowe's and he will stay here in case jeff comes back.

the THIRD trip.

i'm sick of going to lowe's.

they are delivering TODAY!!!!!!! oh - and it's free delivery and we got 10% off. that helped us to speed up the process.

so.........after 3 trips to lowe's and working non-stop for about 12 hours, here is what was accomplished:
~tile grouted
~quarter round down
~microwave out (lowe's offers free haul off, too!)
~dishwasher out
~most of the kitchen painted!!!!!!!!!!!

here is what's left to be done:
~touch up quarter round
~finish painting walls
~install microwave
~install dishwasher
~install stove
~tile countertops and backsplsh

everything will be done this week except the countertops and backspash. and that's fine.

and i will have "after" pictures - it looks SO SO much better! chasity picked out my tile and my colors and did a great job!!!!

but NO MORE trips to lowe's! tommy can go next time.....
