sorry i don't have any before pictures................i still can't believe i didn't take any!!!! anyway............a description/comment is above each picture...
the light fixture is about to go. i've got a tiffany style fixture that is going to go up! i can't wait!!! the antique piece with the mirror is going to get a new, fresh mirror! i got this piece at the antique mall and the vendor selling it had gotten it at a sale in MINTER CITY (my hometown!)!!! small world. the big picture on the wall hung in my mam-maw's kitchen for as long as i can remember and i got it when she passed away. i've still got to get window treatments and i'm gonna get a bench for each side of the table instead of chairs...

this shows you what we are still going to tile. we've got the countertops and backsplash left to do. it's gonna look good!!!
so now y'all look at this and go "good grief - what a mess!!!". but actually it isn't! those are my new appliances. the fridge is covered with mary peyton's magnets, etc (at the bottom) and pictures of lots of people (at the top). her artwork graces my cabinets - and i wouldn't change it for anybody. she'll see something she made and her face lights up telling me about it and that SHE made it. i love every last piece of paper up there!

Everything looks great! You know when you get that new fridge...no more magnets, if it's stainless. That's why pictures have started being taped to my windows with LOTS of tape...the monkeys think more is better!ha!
hey! I do a really neat thing with KE's artwork... esp the ones with either her handprints/footprints on them. I frame them in different sized, matching black frames and have it as a gallery in our hallway. It looks nice and she can see her stuff all the time.
also, there are stainless fridges that magnets will stick to AND they don't smudge. So nice. I have the smudge kind and I'm OCD about cleaning it
