angela tagged me!!!

last week, angela tagged me for 7 things about me. since i did this about a month or so ago, and answered with more "serious" facts, i thought i'd make this one more "quirky" or fun. so here goes.

1. i love raspberry sorbet. no, not the prince song. the ice cream. and i like it with heath bar mixed it. especially from coldstone. wait. i like a heath blizzard form dairy queen, too. o.k. so maybe i just like heath in my ice cream.

2. i love books. i like to decorate with them, read them (when i have time), and just look at them. tommy says that i have too many. in my "dream" house, i'll have a library. and all of my books will be in one place. i'm talking about shelves from the floor to the ceiling - o.k. maybe closed cabinets on the bottom for games, but the shelves will definately go to the ceiling. and i want one of those cute library ladders, too.

3. i can't cover up pictures with new pictures. i have a few times, but i don't like it. when i frame a picture, it's because it is special to me or because it's a dang good picture. but because i can't cover them up, i've got framed pictures all over my house. oh well - it's my house.

4. this kinda goes along with #3, but i love my "picture wall" in the hall between mary peyton's room and the guest bedroom. my grandmother has a wall like this - it's got pictures from about 2 feet off the floor all the way to the ceiling. when i was little, i would go to the wall and get grandmama to tell me stories about the people i didn't know (my great grandparents who had passed away). now i've got old black/white pictures on OUR picture wall and can't wait to do the same thing with mary peyton.

5. i've never smoked. never tried. and i'm glad. growing up, i knew that cancer ran in our family. and i was not told by my parents that smoking "could" cause cancer - i was told that if i smoked, i would get cancer and die. well, when you hear that your whole life, you pretty much decide that it's something you can do without!

6. i love grape juice. love it. i could drink it non-stop. of course right now i'm on a v8 peach-mango juice kick (it tastes just like a drink from jamba juice that i LOVE). but give me either of those and i'm set.

7. i am excited about mary peyton going to ja. we've caught flack (is that really even a word??) from some people because we are not sending her to madison public schools. i know that the schools are good. but this is just a personal choice for us. tommy went to ja and i went to pillow. i hate to sound crazy or whatever, but private school is all we know. it's where we're comfortable. and we know everybody. plus, she is SO SO excited about it. and that makes it even better.

so there are 7 more things about me. i'm sure if i was tagged again, i could add 7 more. but for now - there they are!

I AM TAGGING: ADELLE, ASHLEY, DEMETRIA, APRIL, KIM, JUNEBUG, KEARSMOM, AND JENNY W.

Suzanne,
Thank you for your kind words! I have my days, and that was definitly a hard one. I appreciate your support and prayers! I've been reading your blog for a while. You're actually the 2nd one I started reading. Dena's was the first-and then she talked me into starting my own. Now, I'm hooked! I'm sorry about your loss as well. Divorce is never easy. I'm glad that you and Tommy have a strong christian marriage. Maria @ Free to Fly is hosting: "A Year of Romance!" Maybe you could join us and share how the Lord has used your parents' relationship to strengthen you and your marriage! I think we need to think about how divorce affects children, and how we can do our part to safe guard our marriages from it!

OH MAN!!! I wanted to be the one to tell you the song is Raspberry BERET!!! You funny girl, Suz!!

Also, I want that library, too. I've told Funandone a zillion times that I NEED floor to ceiling shelves with the ladder...and some big ole comfy chairs in which to read and relax. THAT is MY dream. I guess we can share it, tho. Seeing as how we are both PAC's.
