my husband loves his alma mater, jackson academy. it's really no surprise if you know him at all. and he's not ashamed about it. now don't get me wrong, i am proud of my school (pillow academy) and the education i got there, but tommy takes it to a WHOLE different level. and somehow i am getting sucked into his trap!
we go to football games fairly regularly. basketball more than that. we were at so many basketball games when i was 5-8 months pregnant that people said the baby would come out knowing basketball! i wish! also, when i was pregnant with mary peyton (wait - like i've been pregnant more than that.....oh well), tommy wanted a JA collar shirt to wear to the games. he says he has to "represent". i got him a collar shirt AND a sweatshirt because they were on sale. guess who wears the sweatshirt - yep....it's mine.
last weekend i heard him call me from the den and tell me that i HAD to get in there. well, he had dug out his senior video and was watching it - reliving "the good old days" over again. i just sat down and laughed with him. i'm glad he had such a good time! and i'm always hearing a new story.....
well, next year we will start another raider in training. we signed mary peyton up for the 3-year old program at JA when she was a few weeks old. people told us you have to do it that early! and they were right! hard to believe that in august 2008, my little girl will start "big school". we can't wait!

july 2005~the alumni association at JA sends a little t-shirt to each baby born to an alum. like the title of this blog, it says "born to be a raider" with JA in the background!

may 2007~this is when we were getting ready for vbs at our church. i was able to help out 2 days, so i wore tommy's old football jersey 1 day. we put it on mary peyton and she would not let us take it off. he said that he never imagined he would have a little girl wearing his jersey one day. i think he was really proud, but he didn't say so...
