a few pictures from her birthday

well.........because i'm strapped for time, these are the only pictures i'm putting up now. i will post pictures of her opening presents, etc., after our vacation! then i will REALLY have a lot to post! anyway, mary peyton had a wonderful birthday. i've described each picture below it. hope you enjoy!

this is her "birthday outfit". i did this last year, too. instead of having a "theme" for the party, everything is coordinated around what she is wearing for the party. so i guess you could say i have a "color theme".

this is her cake that i made. of course if you read under the first picture, you'll know that i made it to match her outfit!

blowing out the candles! the shirt to the outfit is TOO short, so i took this red shirt to a friend of mine (tracy meeks) and she monogrammed "mary peyton" in the same blue as the pants!! it was SO SO cute!!!

tommy and i decided yesterday afternoon that we would start a tradition and let mary peyton "release" balloons from her party at the end of her birthday. kinda our way of letting go of that year and getting ready for a new one! of course as she grows up, we can tell her that she is sending the balloons up to Heaven to her Pap-Paw Barnette!

mary peyton waving to her balloons. she watched them until they were completely out of sight!!!

Too cute! One day I'll get a blog of my own, instead of being a "blog stalker"! Hope the medicine works and you get to have a great time in Chicago. We went last year and loved it! Have fun!

Unbelievably cute photos. Love the balloon tradition.

Also, didn't know you were going to Chicago. We went last summer and had a blast. Would go back again in a heartbeat!! We took KD with us for a last trip before she left for Israel. I have a gazillion pictures...in fact, you can go back somewhere on my blog and see a slideshow. I'll look that up and let you know where.
