o.k. this post is going to be typical of me - sentimental. but i am going to post it anyway! i took this picture of mary peyton while we were home for Easter. this tree is in between my daddy's house and my grandmama's house. some of you know this, but i will say it again in case there are any "newcomers". my great-grandfather bought our farm when my grandaddy was about mary peyton's age. my daddy and i were also both raised on the farm. so it's neat for me to see her there playing in the dirt where grandaddy, daddy, and i used to play!anyway......grandaddy used to tell me that when he was younger, this tree was much smaller. the "fork" in the tree was not far off of the ground and grandaddy used to "play" and would run and hurdle through it. this tree is one of the largest on our farm and it's so hard to imagine it being little! but i love "hearing" grandaddy's voice in my head when i think about these little stories and can't wait to share them with mary peyton as she grows up big and tall just like this tree!

I love that story!! Being the preachers daughter that I am, I have no stories like that. We didn't stay in one place for very long. There are good things about living in different areas and knowing many different people...but I would love to have a story like that.
One of my favorite things about life now is how so many people knew my kids as babies...have watched them grow up...saw them baptized...taught them in Preschool choir :-) I guess they are starting their own stories!
Also, don't worry about posting something "sentimental." I, for one, enjoy reading whatever you write!
