Well, we are still under the weather in the Barnette house, but it is getting better! Tommy started feeling bad Monday night and stayed home yesterday....Mary Peyton stayed home with him since she was still not at 100%. When I got home from work, he went to the doctor (which is a miracle in itself) and actually got a rocephin shot. He said that now he understands why Mary Peyton cries so much after her shots! Anyway, he has bronchitis, so he should be better soon.
Mary Peyton was up all night coughing her head off, so at 5:45 this morning, I made the phone call to my mom (B.B. to Mary Peyton) to see if she could come keep her. THANK YOU, MAMA!!! She came right away and stayed all day. I called the doctor because Mary Peyton would not take her antibiotic....they called in something better and "fruity" tasting, so now we're good to go! She already seems like she is much better!
While Mama was here today, she decided that we needed to go ahead and get Mary Peyton a "potty chair" to try to start potty training. I must admit, she can pretty much tell us when she has already gone. If we can just get her to tell us BEFORE, we'll be in good shape. I'll keep you posted on how this little era of our life turns out. It should be interesting....
This is one of my favorite pictures of me and Mary Peyton from Christmas. Thought I would share it. The one of her and Tommy is from Thanksgiving. Yes, I know...it doesn't show their faces...but it is so sweet the way you can see both of their shadows (thanks, Row, for taking it)!
