New at this.....

Well, I thought that I would try this and everyone can keep up with what's going on in our little Barnette world. Life never slows down for us. I'm beginning to understand why people tell me that they don't know how we do all we do.

This weekend was crazy. Tommy turned 31 on Friday. What did we do to celebrate? Went to JA to watch Pillow play MRA (boys) in the division tournament. Honestly, we were all happy. Mary Peyton loves most any kind of "ball". Tommy loves anything that involves going back to JA and reminiscing. I enjoy getting to see friends/family from Greenwood! And Pillow won! So it was a great night. Pillow's girls had already beaten Parklane's girls that afternoon, so I was already in a good mood!

So Saturday, Mary Peyton had fever. So much for "the fam" going to the games. Tommy was gracious enough to let me go. But I think the best part came after the games!!!

JULIA IS HOME UNTIL THE WEDDING!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yes, my precious "darlin'" friend, Julia Ridgway, is home from SouthAfrica for her wedding (which will be March 10th). Not only is she one of my closest friends, she is also Mary Peyton's God-mother. Speaking of which, Mary Peyton is going to be her flower girl (I will be a bridesmaid). So in a few weeks, maybe I will have this blog "down pat" and be able to post pictures, etc. She is going to be a stunning bride! I love you, JULZ!!!

On that note, I guess I'll close this first blog of the Barnette family. Oh....how the weekend ended...JA boys won the division. All of our teams (Pillow and JA) will be playing in the state tournament this week. And we've promised Stella that we will be there (my cousin's girlfriend). Mary Peyton still had fever today, so we ran her to the doctor. Ears and throat are fine. Chest sounds "fine". Got an antibiotic for congestion. And we went ahead and bought a nebulizer. Wow....how our priorities have changed in the past 2 years.....

Til next time!
